The story of Scandal Hill
A shuttered trattoria, a whispering village, and a key with your name on it.
Welcome to Scandal Hill, a sunny village on a hill in central Italy. Nonna Lucia always said it runs on two things: good food and better gossip.
Giulia left as a girl. Now she is back with one suitcase, no plan and the key to Casa Lucia, her grandmother's trattoria: shuttered, dusty, and still the loveliest place in the valley. Waiting inside is Tommaso, the waiter, who insists he is not a ghost.

Who wants Casa Lucia, and why?
On the very first night an envelope slides under the door: “Sell. — F.” In this village there is only one F: Donna Ferri, the richest woman in the valley. She'll buy the building. Name a price. Go back to the city.
It's not for sale. But everything, Donna says, is for sale. Some things just take longer.
The torn page
Lucia's recipe book has a note in every margin, about food and about people. One page has been torn out. Tommaso says paper is old. Giulia says he's a terrible liar. He says he's a superb liar, simply out of practice.
Places you'll restore
Every chore you finish changes Casa Lucia in front of you and unlocks the next scene of the story.
- The kitchen (area 1): Dust, rats and Nonna's pans. Light the oven again.
- The dining room (area 2): Shut for twenty years. Sweep it, seat it, open the doors.
- The terrace (area 3): Broken chairs and the best view in the valley.
- The pantry (area 4): Shelves, jars and something hidden behind the flour.
- The garden (area 5): Herbs, lemons and a bed nobody has weeded in years.
- The bakery (area 6): Ovens, flour and a village contest.
- The apartment upstairs (area 7): Lucia's rooms, just as she left them.
- The village square (area 8): Lanterns, a fountain and the whole hill watching.
How the story is told
The story plays out in short scenes between your merges, with a fully voiced cast and painted story panels. You'll meet the whole village, from Sofia, who hears everything first, to Marco, who was sent with an offer and is mostly here for the bread.
No spoilers here. You'll have to play to find out what was on that page.
